Constant Leadership is Constant Reading (#’s 1-2)

Michael Hyatt, says, “Leaders are reader’s and reader’s are leaders”.
I couldn’t agree more.
I am currently reading Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner’s new book, The Truth about Leadership. The book is beautiful in its simplicity, and has a razor focus as it outlines what the authors refer to as the Ten Truths About Leadership.
I want to explore two of those truths over the next five posts.
Number One is, You Make A Difference. You have to believe in yourself and believe that you belong in the position that you are in to serve others. You have to beleive that yo can make a difference in the organization and more importantly, in the people who occupy the organization.
Number Two is, Credibility is The Foundation of Leadership. Do you do what you say you will do? Are you therefore, reliable? Accountable to the role for which you have been called? Are you transparent when things are going well and not so well?
Do you believe you have what it takes to make a difference? What habits of yours hinder this?
Do some deep thinking about credibility. Do other’s see you as credible? Where might there be some cracks that you need to attend to in your life?
