Leadership is Constant with Child-Like Behavior

January 18, 2011 § Leave a comment

Seth Godin has a typically compelling blog post about childish and childlike behavior.

(Take 30 seconds and read this):

Childish vs. childlike

Childlike makes a great scientist.

Childish produces tantrums.

Childlike brings fresh eyes to marketing opportunities.

Childish rarely shows up as promised.

Childlike is fearless and powerful and willing to fail.

Childish is annoying.

Childlike inquires with a pure heart.

Childish is merely ignored.

Ask yourself:

  • In what ways do I exhibit childish behavior? (Maybe in ways that Seth doesn’t list)
  • What is the cost of my behavior? To me and others.
  • What changes do you need to make in order to be know more for your child-like behavior?
